An online methodology for submitting applications is implemented with effect from 15.06.2023 as to enable the public to obtain passports more easily.
Applicants who submit their applications online can provide their fingerprints at sub-offices of the Department for Registration of Persons attached to 51 Divisional Secretariats situated throughout the island.
The inaugural event of this will be held at Homagama Divisional Secretariat at 3.00pm on 15.06.2023 under the precedence of His Excellency the President Ranil Wickramasinghe with the participation of Hon. Minister of Public Security Tiran Alas.
